As some people probably are aware, the Regal movie theater at Hamilton Place has recently become an extremely new and improved theater when compared to its pre-remodel version. First of all, if you haven’t made your way over to it yet, I would highly recommend trying it out as soon as you can. Honestly, when I went to see a movie there for the first time, it was like nothing I had ever experienced before. I don’t even know that calling it a “movie theater” alone is enough to truly give it the justice it deserves.

Essentially, you walk in and everything is fairly normal within the first look-around. You purchase your tickets, but then everything begins to change a little bit. You actually get to choose your seats. I know, it sounds a bit mundane, but it’s true! After you pay, you are shown a diagram of the theater along with its seats. You are shown which seats are available and out of those you decide on which ones you want to sit in. They print the chosen seats onto the thickets and you then continue on with this magical journey.

You then begin to notice the differences between a typical movie theater and this amazing place that somehow shares the same title. If you so choose – I honestly don’t remember the last time I saw a movie without doing so – you can pay a visit to the guilty pleasure of overpriced popcorn, candy, and drinks. There are concessions at this Regal theater unlike any other place you would go to see a film; however, it is so much more than that. Not only do they have the popcorn, candy, and drinks as previously mentioned, but they also have various other foods that are pretty legitimate. Rather than eating food in a more junk-related category, they have foods like burgers, wings, and even desserts.

Once you glean together everything that you might need, you make your way into the theater assigned to your movie of choice. As soon as you walk in, it is very clear to see how different these individual theaters are along with how different the experience when actually watching the movie will be. For me personally, the first time I saw a movie at Regal, there were only about five rows with around ten seats in each one. Although this individual theater happened to be smaller than some of the other ones within Regal, part of the reason for the limit on seats was simply because of the recliners. That’s right. You don’t just sit in an average fold-up chair to watch the movie. You get to sit in a full on recliner that is so huge, you could probably fit two people in it. You sit back and use the two buttons built in to the side of it, in order to adjust your chair exactly how you want it.

Obviously, with all that has been said and more, it should be easy to see by now just how amazing this theater is. I would definitely, a million times over, recommend going to this theater if and when you get a chance. It is such a fun, different, and new experience that is well worth the cost.
