I BELIEVE IN THIS APP

“The Godfather: Family Dynasty” is another city building game like “Mobile Strike” and “Game of War” to hit the app store. The only exception this time is that this takes place in the “Godfather” universe. For those that don’t know, “The Godfather” is a classic film that revolves around the Corleone crime family. As some of you may know, I’m not just a huge fan of movies that are set in the mafia, but rather an even bigger fan of the “Godfather” movie series. I think “The Godfather” is one of the best movies ever made alongside “Goodfellas”. So I was really excited to see that there was “Godfather” game on the app store that I could actually play. I was rather let down by the fact that it was a city building game as opposed to an RPG or an open-world game like “Grand Theft Auto”.  “The Godfather: Family Dynasty” definitely lacks originality and that is definitely my biggest problem with the game. Another issue I have with the game is that Don Corleone and other characters from “The Godfather” play a very small role in the game. It’s as if they just used the “Godfather” name so that more people would download it. This app is definitely more style over substance. For the first couple of levels Don Corleone is just bossing you around and telling you what to do. If there ever was a plot then it quickly dissolves into thin air. The fights aren’t as rough and edgy as I would like from a “Godfather” game. For the fights, you just see icons bumping into each other. Everything about this game just feels really clean and calm for a “Godfather” game. This game was absurdly disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend it to even the most die-hard “The Godfather” fan.
