Next week is Thanksgiving, and I have been really thinking about what I am thankful for. I am thankful for many things for many different reasons. My family is something I’m thankful for. No matter what I do they are always there to support me, even if I am being a really crazy person. I’m thankful for my best friend which is also my boyfriend. He has always been there for me and supported me through everything I have done since the day we met. He is always there when I need a shoulder to cry on or someone to rant to; I honestly don’t know what I would do without him. One of my family members I most thankful for is my sister. She always knows the right things to say to me when I’m upset and down in the dumps. I’m also thankful for my house, the bed I have to sleep in and the clothes I get to wear every day. I am thankful for being able to live in this beautiful country and having the opportunity to live the life I want to live. I don’t have to worry about being afraid of what I say or worrying about being prosecuted for the God I want to worship. Being able to go to school is something I appreciate. We get to go to school to get a pretty good education and not be just thrown into the world not knowing what we want to do with our lives. We also have the opportunity to go out and be who ever we want to be, which in some countries they don’t even get to do that. Some of the silliest things I’m thankful for are heating and air conditioning. If I didn’t have heat during the winter I would literally freeze to death. Food is also a huge thing I’m thankful for because without food and water I wouldn’t be able to live. Being able to go down stairs and make whatever I want to eat is a huge deal since sadly some people aren’t really that fortunate. This Thanksgiving I would like to encourage you to think about what all you have to be thankful for.
