Every Thursday before the Friday night lights come on, the JV Football team plays their games. The Generals started the season with a bit of a rough patch, losing to Northwest Whitfield. Despite this, the Generals rallied back with an impressive four game winning streak, beating East Hamilton, Dalton, Christian Heritage, and Gordon Lee. Once week six came around, however, the Generals lost a hard fought battle against Bradley Central. After this tough loss, the guys finished their season with a commanding victory against Sonoraville.

When it was all said and done, the Generals finished with an overall record of 5-2. One thing that really stood out to Coach Gibson was, “Throughout the season, you could really see each unit on the field improve each game.” Players like Freshman Sam Coleman, Caden Hight, and sophomore Landon Wooten, all greatly improved, and were major contributors to the success of their offense. On defense, Cooper Chappelear and Caden Palmer were the anchors of the front five. Overall, this group of guys put together one of the more impressive seasons on the JV Football team. They showed great improvement, effort, and most importantly, they are even more prepared to take the next step up to varsity.
