Every year, seniors who want to attend college must go through the hard chore of admissions. Luckily, here at Heritage, our teachers and counselors hold an Admissions Day! This year, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Dalton State College, Shorter University, and United States Military representatives will be here to help students apply to colleges.
Admissions Day is when seniors take a day off of school to apply to different colleges and have help with applications from other colleges. The good thing about admissions day is that even if the specific college you want to attend doesn’t come, another college table will help you!
Admissions Day is an opportunity for students to have a designated day for college admissions, and scholarship applications. The goal for admissions day is for students to come to have fun, relax, and enjoy applying for colleges. The counselors and college representatives want to make sure that you have the least stressful experience you can. They will provide you with different snacks, and plenty of advice.
On admissions day, sometimes the Head of Admissions will actually attend, and may—or may not—do instant admissions! Last year, the Head of Dalton State actually attended and had some instant admissions among students. Although the counselors can’t promise any of the attending colleges will give instant admissions, there is always a chance.
Some colleges will be waiving admissions fees throughout November. Find more information, free codes, and more opportunities in your Google Classroom!
