Rainbow Six Siege has introduced Year Nine Season Four with the new season being Operation Collision point. Siege has released one of the biggest updates in years, and in this update they have added PC crossplay, which means that PC users can now play with their friends on console.
Heritage junior Brody Walker said, “I think it’s actually good, but the PC lobbies have a lot of cheaters.” He also thinks that the new season is a lot more balanced than previous ones. The bugs are pretty bad, but Ubisoft, the company that owns Siege, will definitely fix them as soon as they hear about them. The shield rework is amazing, and Walker thinks that the blackbeard rework was a little bit too much. He also said that the drone visible trajectory is a bit disappointing, but other than that the new season is good.
Sophomore Ty Sims said that he doesn’t like the new season because of the new blackbeard rework. Sims does like the new crossplay, because people that don’t have consoles can play with their console friends. He thinks that the nerfing of the shields is a good improvement for the game, because they don’t do damage to you anymore.
Although there are many improvements this season, there are some bugs in the game that Ubisoft can definitely fix. People think that the game is dying out, but with this new season, it will most likely go up popularity-wise. Especially because of this new crossplay addition. Overall, people are pretty happy with the new season.
