Matthew Paynter, trombone; Brevin White, bass trombone; and Zach Tyler, baritone sax are Heritage High School’s first ever students to be chosen for inclusion in the Georgia All-State Jazz Band.  This is the most difficult ensemble to make in the state of Georgia; only one student is chosen in the state for each part, so this means Paynter, White, and Zach are the top jazz band musicians in the whole Peach State!  They will join the rest of the All-State Jazz Band for a performance at the Georgia Music Educators Association conference held in Savannah, Georgia, at the end of January.
