From Heritage Middle School to Heritage High School, from normal school days to pep rallies and big school events. These are the changes she will experience this year. Bella Severe is a 14 year-old freshman. When asked about how she felt on the first day of her high school experience, Severe shared that she was really excited but also a bit nervous.
“I’d say I’m most proud of my mom, she’s always pretty much done everything on her own. I can’t think of a super memorable day of my childhood though, it was pretty laid-back,” Severe shared. Severe’s mom is her motivation and inspiration to keep going. She talked very highly on her mom’s passion and how proud she is of her mom.
Severe hopes to either attend Vanderbilt University or the University of Central Florida once she graduates high school. She would either like to go to college for a degree in psychology or a nursing degree to become a pediatrician. “I’m open to going to school for psychology, but also whatever else life throws my way to study after I finish high school,” Severe shared. Growing up she always wanted to be a psychologist or a pediatrician.
Severe said she loves our school for its welcoming environment, how easy it is to make friends, and the broad variety of opportunities our school has to offer. A common misconception that people bring to her attention is that they think she looks like she’s mean, but people find out that she isn’t, which couldn’t be more true. Severe brings a positive attitude to Heritage High School, and never fails to be inclusive to those around her. She never meets a stranger.
She enjoys reading and spending time with friends outside of school, but she doesn’t have a specific hobby outside of school. She is also a part of student government and Journalism. She is looking forward to taking ‘From Here to Career’ in high school because everyone talks about it and says it’s a good class to take.
“I’m excited to see what high school has to offer for me,” Severe said.
