Kaya Bradford, Staff Writer
Kaya Bradford is a junior student attending Heritage High School. This is her third year of Journalism, and her fifth semester. It has always been her favorite class to attend, since day one freshman year when she first entered the course. In Kaya’s spare time, she enjoys listening to (a LOT of) music, including Deftones, Modern Baseball, Nettspend, McCafferty, Radiohead, 2Hollis, Fakemink, The Hellp, Blood Orange, Playboi Carti, and many other artists from varying genres. She also enjoys reading, writing, drawing, and some other various creative outlets. While she enjoys many aspects of human expression, she refers to music as her favorite thing. Kaya also loves spending time with animals, including her cat, Clancy, who was originally a stray but is now a housecat. She also enjoys quite a few movies and shows, including “Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind,” “New Girl,” “Ladybird,” “Heathers,” “Mysterious Skin,” “Bones and All,” and all of the “Harry Potter” movies, though she says “Prisoner of Azkaban” is the best one. Kaya’s favorite books include “Lord Of the Flies,” “P.S I Still Love You,” “One Of Us Is Lying,” “I’m Glad My Mom Died,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” and “IT.” Kaya also enjoys comedians and Youtubers Kurtis Conner, Danny Gonzalez, Wendigoon, and the Sturniolo Triplets. Most of all, Kaya enjoys spending time with her friends, animals, and family.

LeAnne Hines, Staff Writer
LeAnne Hines is a 16-year-old Junior at Heritage High School. This is her second year at Heritage, and she is new to Journalism. LeAnne loves the beach, and anything involving animals. She is passionate about playing softball, and about her job at the Ooltewah Nursery. She loves bonding with new people, and plans to go to college for her nursing degree to become a Neonatal Nurse. When she’s not at school, you’ll most likely find her on the softball field, spending time with her family, or out shopping while burning a hole in her pocket. She seems like she has a hard shell, but she’s very passionate about what she does, what she will do in the near future, and the people she surrounds herself with. LeAnne loves reading, particularly thrillers or horror and finds her peace in music, she dabbles in most genres. She’s looking forward to see where this path in Journalism will lead her.

Bella Severe, Staff Writer
Bella Severe is a 14-year-old freshman at Heritage High School. Her favorite part about HHS is the social dimension and opportunities they bring. This is her first year of journalism and she’s beyond excited. After high school, Bella hopes to attend UCF or VU and graduate with a degree in psychology. Helping people understand themselves is something she’s wanted to do since she was a little girl. When she’s not occupied with school, she spends her free time hanging out with friends, watching movies, and sometimes reading. She absolutely adores music, and doesn’t have a specific genre. Some of the many artists she enjoys are Faye Webster, Radiohead, Deftones, and Steve Lacy. Bella joined journalism to try something new, and see the things it brings for her in the future.

She values spending time with her family and friends, as well as her two dogs. She loves writing, and hopes to become a journalist when she graduates.
