RAIN OR SHINE, STILL GOING

Friday, April 10, many seniors will be going to enjoy the Six Flags senior trip. There have been some concerns about the weather forecast, and many were worried that the trip would be cancelled due to rain. However, I talked to Mrs. Gonzalez, one of the senior sponsors, and she told me that the seniors are still going on the trip, no matter if it rains or not. The weather forecast for Friday in Austell, Georgia, is a high of 78 with couple of showers and heavy thunderstorms. The Six Flags inclement weather policy states that, “There are certain weather circumstances that may cause the entire park to close earlier than scheduled or not open at all. If rain, wind or electrical storms force us to close certain rides for your safety, they will re-open as soon as safe operations can be assured.” So there may be a chance that some of the roller coasters being shut down for a short amount of time or closed completely. There are mixed opinions about the trip continuing even with the rain. Alexis Snyder told me that she was disappointed that they are still going even with the rain. She would rather them reschedule the trip instead of continuing with it. But on the other hand, Grant Gunter told me that he was just happy that he is still getting out of school for the day. So although there are mixed opinions about the seniors still going, the trip is liable to be a good trip no matter if it rains or not.
