SPRING SPORTS WRAP-UP

SPRING+SPORTS+WRAP-UP

With the school year ending, the sports teams’ seasons are also coming to an end. With fall and winter sports already over, the spring sports are winding down. This has been a very productive year in school sports, with football playing well and basketball having an outstanding season. Spring sports carried on the tradition of excellence and ended the school sports year on a high note.

Spring sports are ending now, and some of the best ones to watch were baseball, tennis, and track. Baseball had a great season overall, making it to regions and having a very good record at the end of the year. They made it to the first round of state once again, but Buford knocked them out early. Both tennis teams had an exciting season this year. The boy’s did what they usually do: win. The boys actually made it really far into the state tournament. Then, the girls made it to state for the first time in school history. Track finishes this successful season off after having a fantastic year with Raleigh Lewis posting multiple records in the discus and shot, with many other Generals making their mark at state.

The school sports year is ending, but I am ready for next year and the success that I am a sure it will bring. Stay tuned to all of the sports next year. We may just witness a bit of history.
