Hey, Generals! This week here at Heritage is Homecoming Week. I know I’m just as surprised as you are that homecoming is already here. Let’s just take a moment and breath in and out … okay let’s see what this week has in store for us all. Monday September 28 will be Pajama Day and homecoming queen elections. Everyone join in on the lazy day fun and spend your dreadful Monday right. Don’t wake up putting on sweatpants; go with fuzzy pajama pants. Tuesday will be Character Day. There are so many characters to choose from, such as Shaggy from “Scooby Doo” or even one of the Rugrats from your favorite Nickelodeon show. Coming around to Wednesday will be Tacky Tourist Day. Arrive at school dressed up for a day full of touring. Bring along those cache shorts, Hawaiian shirts, cameras, and maps. You might need them. Thursday is Beach Day. Though you are still coming to school, you don’t want to drown in your education, so wear your floats. Sunglasses will be needed while in your lighted classrooms; you don’t want to be blinded by the work given by your teachers. Also, Thursday our annual corn hole tournament will be going on at 5:30 p.m. Heritage Spirit Day will be Friday, so dress like the awesome General you are. On this day we will be having the Homecoming Parade at 2:10. Later that evening we will be having the homecoming football game against Carterville, and we will crown our homecoming queen.
