ON TO THE NEXT LEVEL

National Signing Day: a day where all the high school football prospects sign to what college they are going to. If you’re a sports junkie like me, then you probably kept up with how your team did, but in case you didn’t, this is for you.

Starting us off, let’s talk about the top two recruiting classes in the nation, University of Alabama and Florida State University. Both of these schools had fantastic days, shooting them into the top two classes. Alabama picked up commitments from two top linebackers in the class: Mack Wilson and Ben Davis. This was a huge acquisition, as the Crimson Tide is losing a lot on defense; they needed to reload. These commitments shot Alabama up into the #1 class for the third year in a row. Florida State filled many needs and picked up a lot of top prospects, jumping from the #6 class to  #2.

Rounding out the top five classes, we have LSU, Ohio State, and Michigan getting great recruiting classes. LSU’s biggest get was a five-star CB filling a big need for them and securing a top five class. Ohio State picked up the second best QB in the country and a top five WR to make their offense dominant again. Michigan and second year coach Jim Harbaugh finished with a fantastic class and hope that will show on the field.

National Signing Day has come and gone, and if your team finished in the top 20, you should be proud. Look for a lot of these freshman to make huge impacts.
