REGISTRATION & PSAT NIGHT

REGISTRATION & PSAT NIGHT

Hannah Roberts, Staff Writer

On Tuesday, February 23, there will be a registration night and a PSAT night here at Heritage High School. This will be for upcoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors since the upcoming freshman registration meeting was the previous Tuesday. The PSAT meeting will begin at 6 p.m., and so will the registration meeting, which is estimated to end at approximately 7:30. They finally have the results from the PSAT tests from this year, and they will go over everyone’s scores and what that means for them during the meeting in the theater. Regarding registration night, it will be in the media center, and they will discuss multiple things. This year, students can register online at the school’s website, and it is very simple. Once at the website, you go to Parent Portal and enter your username or password. After clicking to look at course registration for the upcoming school year, search for the class by typing the course number or name. By the end of it all, a total of 8 courses should be selected. After this, 3 alternative classes must be selected as well. With these 3 selected, if a class is full, a student can be put into a second choice instead of being randomly placed, but you can only register online from February 1 until February 26. Even if you are considering something like Dual Enrollment, you should still choose all 8 classes that you would take. The last day to drop an honors or AP course will be May 27, and there are school counselors available to help at lunch.
