THREE-POINT KING

THREE-POINT KING

Elliot Bennett, Staff Writer

People are calling him the best shooter the league has ever seen. Others are claiming he isn’t even human. Some say he’s not a real person! Whatever you say about him won’t stop him from making threes, that’s for sure. Stephen Curry is an electric three-point shooter who seems to sink every shot he attempts. Last Saturday, February 7, he proved himself to be the difference maker in the Golden State Warrior’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Not only did he score 46 points with three rebounds, six assists, and two steals, but also he hit the game winning three-pointer tying the record for most threes in a single game! If that doesn’t convince people that he’s the best shooter in the league, I don’t know what will.

On top of all of that, during this breathtaking performance, he broke his own record for most three-pointers in a single season. As of now, Curry has made 288 three-point shots this season, gliding past his record of 286 from last season. This is especially impressive, for he’s beaten his own record with 24 games left in the season! Curry has been averaging an astonishing five three-pointers per game this season, so it’s possible for him to make over 400 three-point this year. Will he be able to do it? Most likely, it won’t happen. However, it’s expected that he will be the first to hit 300 in a single season. One thing is for sure: Stephen Curry truly is the king of three-pointers.
