DCOM MARATHON

DCOM+MARATHON

Vinson Veal, Staff Writer

From “The Cheetah Girls” to “Cadet Kelly” to “Camp Rock,” most of us grew up watching all of the Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM). My personal favorite DCOM is “Halloweentown.” Anyway, Disney Channel has made its 100th original movie called “Adventures in Babysitting.” It stars Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson, and it’s a remake of the 1987 movie of the same title. The new remake is set to premiere on June 24, 2016. Since it is the 100th original movie why not play all of the other DCOMs? Well, you got your wish because Disney Channel is doing exactly that. They are airing every single Disney Channel Original Movie starting on Memorial Day weekend on May 27. They are airing their 51 most popular movies from May 27 to May 31 and then are going to continue the rest of the DCOMs throughout June in anticipation for the premiere of “Adventures in Babysitting” on June 24. You better set your DVR and make plans with your friends to watch the DCOM marathon because you do not want to miss being able to reminisce your childhood. Here’s the start of the schedule:
