These months have gone by in the blink of an eye

But it hasn’t been the same since you’ve been gone.

I wish I could see you so we could talk one more time

And discuss all that’s happened and what’s been going on.

Nothing’s the same without your smile and your kindness;

You truly made this earth a better place.

I know you’re happier where you are now;

You’ll forever have a smile on your face.

You changed the world for the better

And your legacy will forever live on.

Your kindness has changed all of our hearts forever

And I know you’ll never really be gone.

I’ll never forget you, I promise.

But if I could tell you one more thing, to be honest.

I wish I had said more than I did the last time I saw you.

Maybe that would’ve changed something, or maybe not,

But if I could try, it’d be worth a shot

If I could say one more thing,

I’d tell you how much you mean to me.

All you showed me was kindness, you never let me fall;

Even when everyone else ignored me and turned away,

You caught me and listened to what I had to say.

Your family and friends, we all miss you down here,

But we’re thankful for the time we had with you.

You never failed to lend a listening ear;

I guess all I really have to say is

Thank you.
