EDITORIAL: BUCKS FOR STARBUCKS

Sydney Shaver, Staff Writer

For the past couple of months, I’ve been on the craze of drinking Starbucks coffee, and I can see why it is such a popular brand. Taking the first sip, I immediately fell in love with the taste and was addicted. It doesn’t compare to any other. I’m not typically a coffee drinker, but ever since I tasted this, I couldn’t get enough. Even though I love everything I’ve tasted, I have favorites. My three favorite drinks are the mocha frappuccino, iced caramel macchiato, and vanilla bean frappuccino. The flavors offer a different taste that I’ve never experienced before. I could literally drink a venti (Large) sized drink all day, every day. Tasting new flavors has been one of my favorite parts of going to Starbucks. I look like a child running downstairs on Christmas morning to find tons of gifts underneath the tree.

If I’m being completely honest, the only part I hate about going to get my favorite drink are the prices. I feel that sometimes I’m paying for the brand instead of the actual drink.  I understand if it’s something that they have to mix up, but black coffee shouldn’t be the exact same price. It is quality coffee and well worth the money I spend to make sure I feed my addiction. I am always up to going for a nice tall glass of coffee, even if the prices are a little steep. The taste of the coffee doesn’t compare and I just love it. I already can’t wait until the next time I get to taste my favorite drinks again.
