EDITORIAL: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME GET WHAT I WANT

Shalee Thompson, Staff Writer

Walking through the hallways of my school or sitting at a restaurant, I see this eye-catching object; an object that I want to grasp with my hands and never let go of. Everywhere I go, I see this object; I try so hard to avoid it, but how can I when most people around me are talking on it, texting on it, and holding it. This object seems so far from within my reach.

For about three years now, I have been “stuck” with the Iphone 5C, and when I say “stuck” I mean it in both good and bad ways. I have enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know the 5c and I am very thankful for all of the memories we have made together (even though he always told me my memory was full), maybe he was tired of me too. In good terms, I want to say goodbye to him because he isn’t serving me a good purpose anymore. Sadly, my 5c is starting to die down, and I’m thinking about putting him down myself, rather than to let him suffer by pushing him beyond his limits.

The bright side of putting down my 5c, is that I have become more interested in his brother (the Iphone 7 plus), because he is a lot taller, thinner, and he presents himself in a more expensive manner. He doesn’t do the cheap plastic. I don’t just like the Iphone 7 plus just for its looks, but for its performance and the advanced new camera system as well. My 5c is slow, it glitches, it freezes, and the screen goes black more frequently than it should, and on a side note, don’t even get me started about how bad the camera quality is.

The seven plus is six times faster than my 5c, and it has the longest battery life than any other Iphone… who doesn’t want that? Other things I like about the seven is that it has the brightest, most colorful screen display, and has two cameras that shoot as one (wide-angle and telephoto).

As I can talk 90 to nothing about all the things I want; this is something that I am in desperate need of. Mom, please please please let me get what I want!
