EDITORIAL: PRE-JAM

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to be able to “prom-pose” to my boyfriend, Seth. Because I wanted my idea to be original, I spent a few weeks thinking about what to do. With the idea to purchase concert tickets in the back of my mind, I finally came to the conclusion to tie the two ideas together and ask him to prom by surprising him with the tickets. Thankfully, he said yes. Seth and I will attend “Christian Music’s Largest Annual Tour,” also known as the 2017 Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, in just a couple weeks on March 26 at the UTC McKenzie Arena, and I am honestly so stoked! I have actually never been to a concert before, so I figured that documenting my thoughts both before and after the experience would be something cool to look back on and compare.

As far as the actual concert goes, I am really expecting an experience that we will remember for a long time. The concert is ten dollars at the door, but guests also have the option of pre-ordering special passes. Because I really wanted this to be something special, I decided to purchase them for the both of us. With these passes, we will get the following benefits: early admission, seats of our choice, a limited edition t-shirt, collectible passes along with lanyards to get us into the show, and a few others. The concert will feature numerous Christian artists such as the David Crowder Band, Britt Nicole, Andy Mineo, Sadie Robertson, and OBB. Seth and I are both very familiar with these artists and their songs, so I am pretty sure that we are going to have a really good time. We aren’t completely sure about what all the day will entail, but that is honestly one of the things that I am looking forward to the most.
