DRIVING FAST & FURIOUS

The second domestic trailer for the eighth installment in the very successful “Fast& Furious” franchise, “The Fate of the Furious,” just recently dropped. Just five weeks before its release date of April 14. The new trailer seems to keep in line with what the past “Fast & Furious” installments have already shown us: ridiculous action sequences, very expensive cars, girls that look like supermodels, and some of our favorite action stars such as Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson. The film is about Vin Diesel working with the newest baddie, played by Charlize Theron, and Jason Statham is broken out of jail to help Dom’s crew track him down and bring him back home. This movie looks insanely bonkers. A submarine launches a rocket only to be moved in a different direction by Ludacris’ character, Tej. Cars are hacked into and drive right out of their respective buildings and fall onto the road. I, myself, am a fan of the “Fast & Furious” franchise and I can tell that this film could quite possibly be one of the better installments in the blockbuster series. I think it should be really interesting to see Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson be forced to work together considering after the events of “Furious 7” (Jason’s character put Dwayne Johnson’s character into a hospital).  “The Fate of the Furious” will be directed by F. Gary Gray of “Straight Outta Compton” fame and is expected to be released in the U.S. on April 14.
