2017-18 Heritage High School Summer Reading List for Honors & AP English Classes
Part ONE: Over the summer, all students will read one required novel or play. This work will be studied during the first week(s) of class. Students should be prepared to participate in conversations, analysis, writing assignments and tests. The major works data sheet for this book will be completed in class.
Part TWO: Every student should choose TWO novels/plays from the appropriate class list below. During the first two weeks of school, everyone will be required to take tests over the novels chosen. The tests will be during the first two weeks of school, even if the students have English second semester. Students will also need to complete a Major Works Data Sheet over the novels chosen and submit them via Google Classroom.
