You may have seen it in a market store around  your area, or have seen it on your social medias. It is a classic white, boxed carton, but there is no milk. It’s water. Kinda strange, right? Typically when someone thinks of portable water, they think of bottled water. But did you know there is such thing as boxed water? Like, actual water in a box. The creator of “Boxed Water is Better,” Benjamin Gott, wanted to find a “better” way to package water. He envisioned an eco-friendly way to get water to the people. The idea began back in 2009 and by 2010 boxed water was being sold in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta. It grew a lot of attention from social media with its recognizable design. Everyone wanted their hands on it. The only real question is, is it really better? On terms of the environment, it really is. Their packing at Boxed Water is Better is more eco-friendly than plastic bottles. Their boxes are ¾ paper, they are 100% recyclable. This unique design makes them reusable, meaning less is being used. In this sense, less is better. The only not-so-good thing about using boxed water on a daily basis is the price of it. If you’re ordering from Amazon, a 12-pack of boxed water is $20.45. For what you get in the package, the price is a little steeper than if you were to buy just regular plastic water. Although you have to consider that the boxed water takes more effort to produce, thus causing the price to raise. As for how good it is, the box makes no difference in the taste. So is it really better?
