THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

As you can tell, the weather is getting colder (some days), and the leaves are fixing to turn and fall. All that really means is that it’s football season. Football is loved by many and watched nationally every weekend. It’s a great father and son bonding pass time, but as a lot of you already know, football can really bring out the worst in people. Some blame it on the game, some blame it on heat of the moment. It’s human nature to want to win and be able to have last week’s bragging rights, but when your favorite team comes up short in the fourth, you may get a little upset sometimes, especially if it’s a rival game. My friend’s sister was a dancer for Georgia Tech, and after the Georgia game (one of the biggest and deepest rivalries in football to date), the dancers were leaving the game through an exit. A couple of drunk Georgia fans decided to make the dancers targets and then decided to throw glass bottles that them. One bottle struck a girl, and she almost passed out because her head was bleeding fairly bad. An Alabama fan was so upset that his team lost that he took it upon himself to poison a tree that had been there for decades and was an iconic landmark on the campus. The man received three years jail time for poisoning an agricultural facility. I personally stay away from talking about football to certain people, because I know if I start, I will unearth an argument that could have been averted. I will say at times football can bring people together, and you can meet some pretty great people at tailgate parties and even in the stands.
