Has anyone ever heard of the tall man with no face and who wears a suit? Well, most people have, because this guy’s name is Slenderman. He is a character that was created in 2009 and has been a big hit among teens and videogame players. There is “Slender: The Eight Pages,” which was produced by Parsec Productions, and then a sequel called “Slenderman: The Arrival,” which was created by Blue Isle Studios. This game was released on both Microsoft and OS X back in March of 2013 and then later released in 2016 for the PS4. “Slenderman: The Arrival” is about a woman named Lauren who goes to see her childhood friend and comes to find out that her friend’s house is completely abandoned. Playing as Lauren, you must find pages that tell what happened to her friend and also deal with the menacing Slenderman. Throughout the game, Slenderman taunts Lauren and tries to scare her. For the player, it is likely that the Slenderman does give a good scare.

The Slenderman even gave me a good scare. I’ve always loved a good scary game because it gets me jumping and, honest to God, makes me want to scream. I will be even more honest: it did make me scream quite a few times. Being chased by the Slenderman as I’m trying to find pages was a complete blood rush that made my heart hammer like a drum and made me feel like I was actually being chased. Nothing is better than playing a game that actually makes you feel like you’re in it. This game is no exception. “Slenderman: The Arrival” is a truly amazing game that gives people the heebie-jeebies and makes you want to scream. I give this game a 10 out of 10 for i’s creativity with the Slenderman and for the thrilling, trembling moments it gives its players.
