“The Greatest Showman,” which was released on December 8, 2017, is a musical that tells the story of the man who made the circus more popular. His name was P. T. Barnum. He rose from nothing to one of the greatest businessmen in the world. It detailed his life struggles as a child all the way to stardom during his adult life. He went from being a poor boy who, according to the movie, couldn’t keep a job to opening a museum of “oddities,” and when we was told he needed something alive at the museum, he did exactly that. He exaggerated people’s abnormalities and used bad press to gain attention. The things that the movie did not include were that he was an author, a politician, a publisher, and a philanthropist.

The movie was nominated for four Golden Globes, including “Best Motion Picture for Musical or Comedy,” and won for “Best Original Song.” Rotten Tomatoes’ “Tomatometer” is currently at 55 percent with an audience score of 90 percent. More people were hoping that it would be better than what it was, based on the fact of the cast. The cast has stars such as Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Hugh Jackman. People also complained that the songs were not what they expected. They thought that they were going to be more time-period appropriate rather than the pop music that was played. Overall, people either completely loved it or weren’t the biggest fan of the musical.
