Starting very soon, sophomore Trinity Ha is going to be creating a mural on the glass wall of the café in the library. This wall will show various book covers and quotes. Right now, Trinity is in the process of preparing for the large-scale project by working on sketches as they gather all of the needed materials, including the acrylic paint that she’ll use to paint. There was a slight delay to the project because of the time off due to snow, but the mural will start to go up before the end of January. When asked about how all of this began, Trinity responded, “I’ve done a few art projects before around Mrs. Sixto. I’ve made a pretty book cover during our Harry Potter movie day and I’ve decorated a board for Hannah Rials, who is an author, about her book . . . I don’t really paint a lot, and I thought it would be awesome to paint a mural for the library.” She claims that she’s nervous, but Trinity hopes that the mural will look great in the end, especially since it is the largest project she’s ever worked on. Along with some favorites, she plans on using books from various genres and wants to include something from each of the authors that have visited the school. Trinity Ha will definitely be using “The Serpent King,” “Ascension,” “Scythe,” “This Savage Song,” “Fahrenheit 451,” and “Cinder.” Whether you’re going to get lunch, wandering around the school, or just in the library, be watching for Trinity’s mural.
