Looking for new music, but tired of the same old thing? Your search ends here! Set It Off is the pop-punk band of your dreams. Now, I know what you’re thinking: pop punk isn’t for everyone, but the four Tampa natives collectively known as “Set It Off” have a certain charm that will reel you in, no matter what your usual music taste. The charm of Set It Off’s music comes from its diversity. Formed in 2008, Set It Off has a discography of 3 full length albums and 4 EP’s. So no matter your mood or music taste, you’re bound to find something pleasing to your ears. In the mood for something on the edgy, hard rock side? Give their first album “Cinematics” a listen. With angry songs like “Plastic Promises” and “I’d Rather Drown,” your inner emo kid will be screaming. Maybe you love pop music, but you’re tired of the boring Top 40. Look no further than their third album, “Upside Down, where the band puts the “pop” in pop punk. Get your best friends and dance around your living room to upbeat tracks like “Something New” and “Life Afraid”. The band has performed at the Alternative Press Music Awards, toured alongside many other impressive acts with Vans Warped Tour and headlined 3 of their own tours. The band is comprised of four remarkably talented and genuine guys: Cody Carson (lead vocals), Maxx Danziger (drums), Dan Clermont (guitar), and Zach DeWall (guitar). The four best friends not only make amazing music together, but they also run a hilarious YouTube channel. Any fan of the ever so humble Set It Off, myself included, will tell you that one of the reasons they love the band is because they are genuine, real, and kind. They care about their fans, and they never lose their heads. Plus, they rock (pun intended). So, do yourself a favor and broaden your horizons. Set It Off will not disappoint.
