GEE, LOOK AT THAT Z
March 7, 2018
Around two years ago, I was driving up my driveway that is lined with old Trans Ams, and I had an idea. I had just been rear ended and totalled my last car. We had only one 1979 Z28 Camaro, and to me, it was my favorite out of the bunch. All of the cars were rusted and were ruined by time and corrosion. I ask my dad if I put the time and money into it, if I could have it. When he told me yes, I was so excited, and the very next day, I pulled it up to our shop to begin working on it. The first thing I did was clean it out and start sanding on the body. After the body work that took about 4 months was done, we painted it and started working on the interior. Soon came the seats, headliner, carpet, and sound system. Soon after, we put a truck’s 350 engine in it with an automatic transmission. I have been driving it for the past year, and it honestly is great to have people smile and wave at me or congratulate me on my nice car. I’ve made many memories with that car, and it makes it scarier and scarier to drive it everyday. I am terrified of someone hitting me. I love my car though. Each day, I put more into it and make it better and better. I hope to one day have it at its full potential that I invision.
