“Five Nights at Freddy’s” is the game where you play a security guard in a pizzeria that resembles something like Chuck E. Cheese, that took the world by storm in 2014, and since then, there have 5 more games, 2 novels, 2 guides on how to play and now a film adaptation is in the works. Chris Columbus, who is known for his work on “The Goonies,” the first two “Harry Potter” movies, and “Night at The Museum.” The film’s production house is Blumhouse, which is known for movies such as “The Purge,” “Get Out,” and “Split.” They are known for their horror movies, which fits perfect with the video game.

The fans of the game are super excited that Scott Cawthon’s game is going to be made into a movie. They hope that it wraps up the lore surrounded by the game and we finally get some answers that we’ve been waiting for since the first game. Other people are concerned that like other video game movies, which have not had the greatest reception from the general public. Jason Blum, the producer of “Get Out,” has stated in an interview that they will be working with Cawthon to make sure that film will be correct and without Cawthon, it wouldn’t be good. He hopes that the movie will please the FNaF fanbase, because they are working with Cawthon. If you are apart of this fandom and you can’t wait for the movie, you can buy some fan merch or replay the six games.
