Sadly, the HHS generals took their first loss on Friday night. Playing against the Ringgold Tigers, the Generals gave it their all. With a breathtaking score of 40-0, the Generals left the field with their heads up and ready for the next game.

During the game, the Generals worked until the very end. They had good tackles, great communication, and strong positivity. Throughout the game, the student section kept the team going strong. Our theme for the student section was red, white, and blue. The students did very good with dressing up and keeping the momentum and positivity spread throughout the game. They had horns, cow bells, water, and all kinds of confetti to pump up the guys. The HHS Generals had a very large crowd for the game, even though it was an away game. Both of the stands were filled up with fans for Ringgold and Heritage.

The HHS band made a huge impression on everyone attending; they played music like Toto’s “Africa” to pump up the players and keep the crowd going. During half time, the band played their show, “The Phantom of the Opera,” leaving everyone in awe at both their musical and marching prowess.

Although the football team didn’t have a good night, they put a mark on our school; they showed everyone that no matter what the situation is, we can always recover and come back from a loss and beat the competition. The next game the Generals have, they’re going to walk in with their heads high and their attitudes positive ready to defeat whoever the opponent is!
