The Lady Generals in action is not something you want to miss. Rachel Gibson played a fantastic game; she pitched for seven innings and struck batters out thirteen times. The generals beat Pickens 6-1 with three home runs in the sixth inning. Scorers were among Zoe Wright, Ansley Bice, Rachel Gibson, Carmen Gayler, Riley Kokinda, and Cassie Davis. Bice and Lowe had two total bases, and Bice as well as Wright stole two bases. Riley Kokinda managed to get three girls home, and she also hit a triple! Kokinda hit a double and also got five total bases. Bailey Christol had two RBI’s and got two players home.

The players’ main focus this season is their identity as a team. Coach Moore says, “Team chemistry is everything, and the girls have done a great job.” He went on to say, “The girls are taking it one game at a time.” They played in a tournament in Dalton, making them undefeated five to zero. The girls have great team chemistry and get along on and off of the field. It’s great to see such a great bond between the players. The girls’ chemistry makes them better on the field, and it’s the reason for them being undefeated. The girls plan to continue their win streak and remain undefeated all season. Overall, these girls doing what they love is a sight to see. They started the season off right, and continue to win their games.
