The (Re)match of the Century

You may remember when Logan Paul and KSI were in the ring for the first time, but have you noticed they had a rematch? The rematch was scheduled for November 9th 2019, but there’s really no reason for them to be fighting.

Originally KSI had just finished fighting Joe Weller on February 3, 2018 and wanted to fight one of the Paul brothers: in his words, “Jake Paul, Logan Paul, any of the Pauls I don’t care!” He was originally scheduled to fight Jake Paul, the younger of the Paul brothers, but after some talking Logan got involved instead of Jake.

The two decided to sign a two-match contract. The first match, which was in June of 2018, was organized by KSI’s team, and the most recent one was organized by Logan’s team. After six rounds, KSI took home $900,000.

The two wanted to keep the tension up for the fight, so they started talking trash about each other. Logan actually brought up some family drama during a press conference. Deji, KSI’s brother, accused KSI of physically and emotionally abusing him and his mother, which Logan brought up. Many people think it was uncalled for because you could tell it hit him hard emotionally. So, KSI had a comeback of “In this fight, you’re going to be Kong and I’m going to be the coyote,” referring to Logan’s dog who recently got eaten by a coyote. Many people also think that was uncalled for as well, but, honestly, can you really blame him?

In round four, things got confusing, and the referee had a tough call to make. Eventually, he deducted two points from Logan for holding and hitting. After deciding KSI got an additional two points, the match was over in another two rounds with a score of 56-55, which was very close.

Neither KSI fans or Logan fans are happy, simply because of all of the trash talk being brought up. The fact that Logan lost again hit hard for the fans as well. I don’t think anyone is going to be happy no matter how many rematches they have, so I think we’ll have to settle with this one.
