Sophia Rainwater is a 14-year old-freshman who is very excited to be in Journalism for the first time. She is very serious about academics, and hopes to keep a 4.0 GPA throughout her high school years to achieve her dream of going to UGA. Sophia loves to throw shotput and discus, she has been on the middle school throwing team, and is planning to try out again in high school. When Sophia is not in class, she is hanging out with her friends, reading, or in church with her youth group. Sophia’s favorite activity is Girl Scouts where she attends meetings with her troop (40180) weekly, and participates in frequent volunteer projects around town. Sophia is very excited to see where the path of journalism takes her, and can’t wait to make the most of freshman year!
