There is a bunch of new staff at Heritage this year! Mrs. Hamill is the new receptionist at Heritage High School. Prior to Heritage Mrs. Hamill worked as a receptionist at the Center for Sports Medicine. Her Past customer service experience helped lead her to the position at Heritage. As a receptionist she has many responsibilities. Some of her responsibilities at Heritage calls for her to answer the phones and emails, deal with bus changes, computer work, and help people with certain questions they may have when going to the main office. She welcomes visitors to Heritage and provides information to students, teachers, and parents. Mrs. Hamill was led to Heritage for many reasons. She chose to apply for Heritage because it’s a closer commute to work and gets to work great hours! She explains, “I have worked in the school system before, and I needed something a little less complicated.” She has lived in the Ringgold area for many years. Her kids Jared and Morgan Hamill graduated from Heritage ten years ago. Her favorite part about working at Heritage is getting to interact with the students, and faculty! She says, “So far my favorite part about heritage is getting to see all the students.” Ultimately she is a great addition to the Heritage community.

About the Contributors
Brooklynn Henson, Staff Writer
Brooklynn Henson is a 17-year-old senior attending Heritage High School. This is her second semester in Journalism. She is taking Dual Enrollment courses online at Shorter University. She enjoys taking challenging Science courses. Her favorite subject is Science, and her favorite Science class was Honors Chemistry. A new hobby of hers is going to the gym and reading. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going for car rides and listening to music, going shopping, and working on the weekends. She currently does not have a lot of spare time: between work, school, and college classes, she is very busy. She moved from Las Vegas to Georgia her freshman year of high school and has loved the Heritage community and teachers. She is excited about what the future has for Journalism and enjoys writing about things she finds interesting.
Briley Simpson, Yearbook Editor
Briley Simpson is entering her fourth year as a staff member of the HHS General Journal. She enjoys reading all the articles that get published and loves coming up with new ideas of things to cover. As this is her senior year, she is excited to once again help with the yearbook "The Legacy." She and staff member Allie Boyd are Co-Editors of the book. Briley also occupies her time by participating in clubs such as the Musical Theatre Tech team, BETA, SGA, NHS, NEHS, and the Lady Generals Soccer Team. When Briley is not thinking about school, she turns to her bookshelf: a place where she feels the most comfort. Reading is one of her most enthralling pastimes. While she dives into a new story, she also likes to listen to music. Taylor Alison Swift is, of course, her #1 artist on Spotify and has been for the past five years. All in all, Briley is both overcome with sadness and optimism as she enters her final year of High School. She hopes that the work she accomplishes in Journalism will in fact leave a legacy!
