This year senior Miles Clark was chosen as a candidate in the Emperor Race here at Heritage. Miles explained that when they called out his name during the pep rally, he was “really surprised” and “didn’t expect it at all.” He said that he was really excited about running and he believes “working with teachers is going to be fun.” In school, Miles’ favorite subject is history. In fact, he said that he likes it outside of school as well, and that it’s very interesting to him.
Another part of school that Miles enjoys is being in football. He said, “I love football, it’s awesome.” Miles went on to say, “Outside of school, I play a lot of Madden (a video game). I hang out with my girlfriend a lot, I hang out with my friends, play basketball, and I play football.” Miles’ friend, Corey Scoggins, says that he loves hanging out with Miles and is very connected to him because they’ve been friends since kindergarten. Miles knows that close friends like Corey understand this, but he says some people might not know that he really liked “Star Wars.” He liked it because, “It’s so deep, every side character and every character in the movies or the shows has a backstory.” While he says he really liked “Star Wars,” he said his favorite movie would have been “The Dark Knight.”
Aside from movies and TV shows, Miles said he likes to watch college football. He said that Sundays are his favorite day of the week because the games are on then. Corey explained, “He’s amazing. I’ve known him my whole life, and I’ve been with him forever. He’s always been a good friend.” Miles and many other students here at Heritage have expressed their excitement for this years Homecoming and look forward to what the experience will bring.
