Alyx Quist, Staff Writer
Alyx is a 14-year-old freshman attending Heritage High School. In school, they strive to do the best they can in everything, no matter what. Alyx joined Journalism late, so they’re still trying to catch up. Their favorite things to do include reading, writing, listening to music, and hanging out with their close friends. Usually, they tend to read sci-fi books, but they enjoy the occasional romance or suspense book. Some music artists that Alyx likes are "Two Door Cinema Club", "Mitski", "Queen", "Gorillaz", "Ricky Montgomery", and "The Brobecks". They are working hard to improve their tennis skills, and they hope to join the tennis team this year. They currently have eight animals at home, five of them being dogs and the other three being cats. Alyx enjoys learning new things and getting to know new people. When they graduate from Heritage, they plan to go to a college located here, in Georgia. After (or possibly during) college, they hope to pursue a career related to journalism, so they are very excited to be able to learn more in this class. They feel extremely thankful to be able to spend their high school years at Heritage, and are super excited to be able to participate in Journalism this semester!!
