One of our Emperor candidates is senior Crew Norman. He is going to be raising money along with the other candidates to race to win the most money for the Catoosa County Children’s Fund. When first getting nominated, Crew thought, “I feel good because I was one of the eight out of the whole senior class [who got picked for the Emperor Race.’]” A close friend, Bryce Quails, said that Crew is going to use his “awesomeness” and “humor” to win the competition. Bryce’s favorite memory with Crew was the experience of their seventh-grade Atlanta trip. They went to the zoo and “bought four different hats and walked around the zoo looking funny.”

A fun fact about Crew is that he has a Labradoodle and German Shepard mix named Bebo. He takes him out every morning before school and before he goes to work and plays video games. Outside of school, Crew hangs out with friends, golfs, and remodels houses with his buddy. After graduating from Heritage, he says he wants to go to either Dalton State or the University of Arkansas to be a retailer in houses. Another fun fact about Crew is that his favorite subject in school is math. In fact, his teacher sponsor this year is the fabulous math teacher known as Mrs. Thatcher. He picked her to be his sponsor because “she always knows how to put a smile [on my face],” he said. With Mrs. Thatcher’s help, Crew is going to be selling baked goods during Homecoming week and at the bonfire. He is also going to be raffling off prizes to win.
