Hot Dogs. Some people might consider it a form of sandwich, but I don’t even consider them a food. I feel ashamed to live in this country whenever someone calls a hot dog an American food. I’m sure there’s a few people in the world that can make a decent hot dog. For the most part though, they’re just gross. It makes it worse when people put chili on them. You wouldn’t put chili on a burger or a sub, so why should hot dogs have them? A much better alternative to a hot dog is a burger. Whenever I go on trips or vacation, I order a burger at restaurants. So I’ve had a burger from twenty-something different states. So far I have not been disappointed by a burger. If hot dogs are dirt, then hamburgers are gold. The topping options are a lot better. You can put lettuce, tomatoes, onions, chips, ketchup, mustard, bacon, and so much more on a burger. If you put lettuce on a hot dog, you’d be thrown in a mental hospital. Same thing with bacon. That’s putting pig meat onto more pig meat. Some genius decided that hot dogs aren’t bad enough, so they made a cheese filled variant. Low-quality cheese makes any food worse, and it especially makes hot dogs worse. I hate seeing them at public events too. It takes away from the fun. They are good for feeding small children or dogs though. Hopefully one day, hot dogs are a thing of the past.
