FFA has been doing some amazing activities and traveling to extraordinary events to expand everyone’s knowledge about agriculture. From speaking events in Sonoraville to FFA Week here at Heritage, FFA is trying to get others to understand the importance of agriculture and how it can affect everyone, even if they do not wish to be a farmer. Today, February 27, FFA is taking a journey to Pickens County, GA to participate in the Career Development Events or the CDE. This will help students to explore and expand on what they might want their future to be like, and it will also help others expand on what they want to do during their future. The people who host the event are there to communicate and to help students who practice in agricultural events figure out what they might want to participate in for the rest of their life, mainly in the field of agriculture. They cover everything from talking about it to showing everyone how to do it.  While at the CDE, they will be able to perform in events individually and they will also be able to participate in team events. Overall, it is just a fun experience for the students in FFA, hosted by Ms. Shearer, or for students who want to learn more about it and how to make it apart of their lives. Ms. Shearer and the FFA students encourage everyone to join them and their journey to show how agriculture is more than just farming.
