I favor a lot of different genres of music, and one of them is jazz. I have loved jazz ever since I was little, thanks to my grandfather who plays alto sax. It’s a genre where you can just dance, relax, and have fun. With this being said, I also have a lot of favorite jazz artists such as Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, and one of the most remarkable jazz artists: Frank Sinatra. When you hear the name Sinatra you immediately hear “New York, New York” playing in your head, as well as “Witchcraft.” Along with these top hits, Sinatra has filled the world with other favorites, including “Fly me to the Moon” and “Strangers in the Night.” Some of my favorite songs by Sinatra are his versions of “The Girl from Ipanema,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “Moon River.” As far as original songs I have always liked  “The Way You Look Tonight” and “Bewitched.” Sinatra isn’t like most mainstream artists today. He took the craft of music seriously and was always passionate about singing for the whole world to hear. Sinatra shaped the foundation of big band and jazz music. Now let’s talk about more favorable songs. I remember, when I was little, my Grandpa would always play the jazz station in the car when we were going on a family vacation. The song that he would always play was “You Make Me Feel So Young” and we would all sing along at the top of our lungs. Whether it be making hit songs to making family memories, Sinatra is a legend who will live on for generations to come.
