Swifties’ wildest dreams are coming true with Taylor Swift’s new music video that came out September 1, 2015. Swift’s anticipated video, “Wildest Dreams” takes place in 1950 on a movie set in Africa, where two young stars are tangled up in a love affair that causes some stir on the set. Taylor’s character (who she revealed is named Marjorie Finn after her grandmother, Marjorie Finlay) is young, beautiful movie star who shares the screen with her tall, dark and handsome costar Robert Kingsley (played by Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott Eastwood), who is named Swift’s  grandfather’s first name and her father’s middle name combined.

In the beginning of the video, Marjorie and Robert shoot a romantic scene in the Savanna where both characters had no trouble acting like they were in love. Later, there were shots of the two characters spending their days in the Savanna falling in love, until Marjorie seems to find something out about Robert that she didn’t want to know, causing the movie to be harder to shoot because of the tension on the set.

During the bridge of the song, there seems to be a sequence of all the memories and all of the days Marjorie and Robert shared together, until it flashes to a Hollywood set with an African backdrop, where the two ex-lovers shoot one last scene before the movie is finished and their memories are gone. However, they both attend the movie premier, and all of the memories come back to both of them. With Robert holding on to his new love interest, and Marjorie holding back tears, they both flashback to the moments they shared in each other’s arms. Before the movie finished, Marjorie flees the theater and drives away, seeing the man she loved in the rear view mirror.

Swift has decided to donate all of the money made from the video to wild animal conservation efforts through the African Parks Foundation of America. The video featured many animals, including one prominent appearance by a lion. Horses, birds, zebras and giraffes are also shown roaming free during the safari-themed clip.

This video has already reached 60 million views and has only gotten great feedback. This is by far my favorite video Taylor has done and I cannot wait to see what else she has to release. Swift has really proved herself this past year and has not disappointed us at all with her work; she is sure to continue to impress us in the future.
