Parker Scott, Staff Writer
Parker Scott is a 14-year-old Freshman at Heritage High School. She is heavily involved in Band and Chorus. She recently auditioned for and made it into All-District Honor Band, playing Alto Saxophone, but she hopes to play Soprano Saxophone too. Jazz Band is very important to her, and she was also in the Christmas Jazz Band. This semester, she is involved in Jazz Lab and the elite Jazz Ensemble. Being Drum Major is her goal for her band career, and she will audition this year. She is also very involved in Chorus, auditioning for All-State and making it to All-District. Chorus gives her the opportunity to perform and act in front of an audience, and everyone is like family to each other. Parker loves performing for concerts and gigs. Outside of school, she loves reading, hanging out with her cat, and going to concerts. She is going to a Taylor Swift concert in April and is very excited. Her goal is to experience many different cultures and visit different places. She loves listening to music and has a vast love of different genres. Design is very fun to her, and she was given the opportunity to design her house with her parents that she recently moved into. She has faced a lot of adversity, and her goal in life is to encourage others and help them through difficulties. She hopes her high school experience will be filled with laughter and developing life-long friendships.
