Gavin Anchondo, Staff Writer
Gavin Anchondo is the head leader of Impact2One, vice president of the Beta Club, and a senior at Heritage High School. He first got involved in Impact2one and other clubs his freshman year through his school’s Leadership class. After having an opportunity to meet and bond with individuals in Nicaragua, he found his passion in serving others. He has since traveled to Nicaragua multiple times, led Project Move, and identified other charitable/service outlets. Gavin is also the Head Drum Major for the Legion of Generals Marching Band. He loves music and believes that performing under the Friday night lights is one of the best feelings. He is motivated to make this year’s new show, “Planet Earth,” the best it can be by making every day better than the last. His focus in school is maintaining good grades, leading the band, and connecting others to the service projects in which he is involved. Looking forward, he wants to perfect his Spanish speaking and writing to further his ability to connect and build relationships with the people of Nicaragua. This year is his second year in Journalism, so he hopes to use his skills that he has learned to provide the school with up-to-date information that they will find both entertaining and useful.
